The Goldwasser Family

The youngest daughter of the Goldwassers, a traditional Jewish family, meets Paul, the love of her life in the faculty of philosophy, Amsterdam. The love they share makes her decide -despite his age and non-Jewish background– to spend the rest of her life with him. Her father won’t accept the choice she has made; only when she aspires to the values with which she was brought up will he agree to see his favourite daughter again. The entire family goes along with this repudiation except for Yves, one of her brothers.

She gives herself totally to the relationship with the man whom she loves until, unexpectedly, he dies. She loses the one person for whom she has given up everything.

The question is whether there is a way to return to her family or must she come to terms with her double loss, alone.
